Is it strange that I absolutely love Riegend, the primary antagonist in my upcoming novel, Touch of the Eternal? I mean, he's a lot like most of us. He loves his family deeply, has some seriously deep flaws and has a few unresolved father issues. His motives for what he does are in fact, understandable and human. However, what makes him our antagonist isn't his motives but rather the means by which he is willing to use to get what he wants.
In this scene, Riegend has been captured at a barbarian camp deep in the frigid south of Folenost. I won't share why he's there but let's just say, he has a plan and a little something up his sleeve.
